The 40% oil conference discount ends tonight. Subscribers receive full access to my in-depth analysis of differentiated stock ideas and macro insights.
Overnight, the U.S. and Israel launched coordinated strikes on Iran, targeting senior officials and strategic sites. There is a lot of uncertainty around the scale and market impact, but the key risk is broader oil supply disruption, particularly if transportation through the Strait of Hormuz is affected, where there are already reports of shipping suspensions.
This escalation may drive oil prices sharply higher, which would directly benefit Bison Insights ideas with meaningful oil price leverage. Most of these are overlooked, undervalued names that receive little to no coverage elsewhere. Although these positions have already outperformed, I think there is still significant upside:
I’ve also been writing about Iran-related oil risk and the implications for oil markets. If you want additional context, here are the two pieces from this earlier this year:

The 40% oil conference discount ends today. If you’ve been on the fence, this is the last day to lock it in.
Bison Insights is my way of sharing about the stock ideas I’m most excited about in today’s market, along with macro analysis and occasional expert interviews, sometimes of the executives of the stocks that I write about.
My hope is that by reading these write-ups, you come away sharper and more informed. That you gain a clearer sense of how I approach valuation, risk, and opportunity in one of the most important and misunderstood corners of the market. And to give you a look into where this outperformance has come from, and where, with luck, hard work and persistence, more may come in the future.
